FREE Webinar Offered by ICA on EID Tag Requirement Updates
Bryan Whaley, CEO, Iowa Cattlemen’s Association

Over the past several weeks, we've fielded many questions from producers about the updated EID tag requirements. How will this new ruling impact our operation? What's changed and what hasn't? What do I need to do?

With the help of Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship state veterinarian Dr. Jeff Kaisand and USDA veterinarian Dr. Kevin Petersburg, ICA is offering a free webinar to help Iowa cattle producers learn what comes next. The session is set for Sept. 30, from 1 to 3 p.m. and is free to attend.

During this session, we’ll evaluate the new rule and highlight the changes from the ruling that has been in place. We’ll share how IDALS is helping Iowa producers prepare for this change, and we’ll answer some common questions and concerns we’ve heard since the new ruling was announced.

Here's a partial list of what producers will learn about.

  • Understanding the new EID tag ruling and cattle classes impacted.
  • Review of what has changed from the current rule.
  • The EID tag and traceability.
  • Where Iowa producers can get EID tags and costs.
  • Timeline and non-compliance consequences.
  • Common questions and concerns.

The new ruling takes effect on November 5, and the clock is ticking. This webinar is a great investment of your time to learn how to avoid costly mistakes and compliance issues in the future. Mark your calendars now to participate in this complimentary educational offering from ICA.

See more information and register to attend on the ICA website.
